What I Learned About Home Business Success

Truly there are many encouraging home based business success stories, many of whom started their work at home and their success online part time while they continued to earn a living with a full time job.

One of the most encouraging of the home based success stories is that of a struggling, writer/author who worked in newspapers for nearly two decades before striking out on her own. Her home based success story exemplifies the idea that we don't have to have a whole lot of money or even a whole lot of traditional work week hours free to grow our own work at home business. Home-based success stories are not so much about money as they are about energy and creativity. Home based success stories are about choosing your business idea, and product or service wisely.

This work at home writer honed her writing, advertising, communication and marketing skills for nearly years in the field of newspaper advertising and management. One day she just decided she had to write - she couldn't stand not pursuing her dream any longer.

She already had her state of the art home computer and all in one and all she needed now was a ready supply of paper, printer cartridge, and some well-placed advertising success online.

She quit her newspaper job, taking a customer service position in a local call center. This allowed her to work second shift Thursday through Sunday and keep her other hours free to pursue writer clients. For one year she did this part time. One day she had enough money saved that she could take the plunge and quit the call center. Today she is a successful author, and full time freelance writer working at home successfully. Hers is a home business success story indeed!

Although despite what people or advertisers usually suggest about online home businesses; that for one, it takes no effort, is a lie. Any business requires that you know fully well who your market is and what your product is. The latter is of the most difficulty, are you offering a product, opportunity or service. It is always better to lead with the product than the opportunity. It is the product that generates the revenue that pays your checks not the business opportunities.

Therefore market both but lead with your product, its what distinguishes you from the rest. How many times have you been confronted with the phrase make $,/month? It is better to say loose weight and make $,/month. There is an added benefit to the revised statement. That will guarantee you success online and offline.
