Since its beginnings in , the venerable Daily Word magazine from Unity has offered spiritual enrichment to people of all faiths. Daily Word now has the distinction of being the oldest continually published daily inspirational magazine in the nation. It is published in seven languages and mailed to more than million readers in countries.
Unity is a trans-denominational organization based in Missouri whose goal is to help people apply positive spiritual principles to their daily lives.
In the s, Unity began airing "The Word," televised readings of spiritual messages performed by celebrities. They continued through . Today, Daily Word has established a presence in a new medium: the Internet.
"Our goal is to make the Daily Word message conveniently available to as many people as possible, at any time of day or night," said Tim Ipema, vice president of marketing and development for Unity. "Our research has shown that more and more people are turning to the Internet to gain spiritual enrichment, and we feel it's important for us to be where the spiritual-seekers are."
